Nick Wright / NYC Marathon 2026

Running NYC for
Team for Kids.

26.2 miles in support of programs that help make running and fitness more accessible to kids and communities.

A little background on why I'm doing this.

Growing up in Maine, being outside and active was basically part of being a kid. I found a real joy in sports and movement early on, and that has stayed with me throughout my life—giving me confidence, community, lifelong friendships and, somehow, two torn Achilles tendons along the way.

Even with the injuries, running a marathon has always been a goal of mine. I attribute a lot of that to the foundation I got as a kid: being active was fun, social, and something I learned to value from an early age. Getting to run my first marathon in New York City—the place I called home for ten years—is the cherry on top.

That’s what makes Team for Kids such a natural fit. I’m excited to support programs that help more young people discover their own joy in being active and build a foundation they can carry with them throughout their lives.

I'm trying to raise $10,000.

If you'd care to donate, I'd really appreciate it. Please contribute whatever amount feels right to you—every donation helps and would mean a lot!
